[QUOTE=CCRC;83872]Funny you should mention the new Slick 120cc...just put a deposit on one in the Blue/White/Red scheme.GreatHobbies tells me they have one of each non-printed scheme on a container due middle of the month. Seems like we may have them before EF in the US...if you want the Blue/Black/Yellow one I'd suggest getting your name on it ASAP.
I've been reading a bunch, and watching videos...I really like the way that 112 runs. Sure it doesn't have the top end of the DA, but that buttery smooth mid-range and throttle response is just what I like. Seems like it turns approx 1 prop size down from the best 120s but the new Slick is a bit on the small side for the class anyway. Kind of like my 79" Slick that's way overpowered with a DA50.
Speaking of DA50s...does anyone have a spare high speed needle or a complete used carb they want to get rid of???

Yup the RWB scheme is the one I would get too. the yellow is awesome but my buddy is getting it, so that's out lol. Yes I think the container is supposed to be here on the west coast around May. It's cheaper for us to drive down to the border then pay shipping from other side of Canada. I'm not sure yet, I may just get the Extra300, my 91' with DA70 is the best plane I ever flew. The new Slick is pretty Slick though...

I see what you did there...lol.
I'm told GreatHobbies is expecting their container around May 11, so perhaps I'll be the first in NA to have one in my hands...other than Jase of course! I'll have to rub it in over on FlyingGiants if that's the case...not very often we get stuff up here before the 'mericans do!
I really like the yellow scheme but I'm not doing black covering anymore if I can avoid it...on the GreatHobbies website photo the black on the outside of the wings is already rippling.
I have an 84" Turbo Bushmaster coming (finally, ordered in August) as well. I'll be getting that going first, have to liquidate some stuff to finish the big Slick but I'll drool over it lots in the mean time!
Does anyone have an idea of what the weight is supposed to be on the 140???

Since the container will land on the west coast of the USA, I can't see how GH would get there Stock before the US dealers. Now if GH had ordered a full container of planes, it could have arrived in Canada sooner since our port in the North is 2 days closer from China, but they didn't.

It sounded to me like they ordered a container...they just said they were expecting a container on the 11th. Sounds like you have some more information than I do though. You would think they would be big enough to fill a container...pretty much everything else they sell comes from China, wouldn't need to fill it exclusively with EF product from my understanding. Would be nice if they could keep more stock, especially if they are only getting orders once or twice a year.

My understanding of the EF situation here in Canada is that they pulled Pro-RC as the sole seller because he wouldn't order a full container of planes because of our fallen $. So they give it to GH, but it's obvious with what they stock that they didn't buy a container either... Funny thing is that Pro-Rc is still bringing in a few EF & 3DHS planes lol. (which is great!)
My buddy pre-ordered a 60'' Demonstrator in the winter, (from GH) he was supposed to get it in March, then April, by May he got tired of waiting & just ordered it from northwestrc across the border, had it in a week.
Now you could be right, perhaps they have a mixed container coming to our coast, guess we will see.
Anyhow awesome choice, will be interested in seeing when you get it & how much you like it, & especially interested if your putting this ZDZ140 in it![]()

I probably won't have it flying for a while, but I doubt I would go for a 140...unless of course it's the same weight as a DA120! I'm strongly leaning towards the 112 actually, I think it will be plenty of power...but I will probably change my mind several times before I pull the trigger. Just saw a brand new DA120 maidened a couple weeks ago, it was sweet and very smooth as well. Not a shaker at all like I've heard in the past.
I had the same experience as your buddy with my TBM, was supposed to have it in the fall. I'm also disappointed with the lack of spare parts GH is stocking...I understood that was another part of the reason EF went to GH in the first place. I could use gear for one plane and a cowl for another...neither part is expensive, but shipping from the US is.
Lorne is awesome and I order from him when I can. It's just shipping giant scale planes gets a little crazy...I can pick up from the GH warehouse, otherwise I would rather support the small guy. This business is hurting enough south of the border, when you add our $$ into the equation you can only imagine how tough it is.

Not sure what the retail price is going to be. I jumped on the pre order list back in Jan i believe they offered a great price, with the exchange rate delivered to my door i paid less than a GP123 from Pro Rc .
With ZDZ missing there delivery date of March 31st, they have reached out to all the pre orders and have offered compensation. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
ZDZ 140 is pretty much the same size as a DA120 or GP123 physically, 140 wieghs 2510g so what is that roughly 250-270g more than a DA or GP. I can live with the extra wieght as it comes with 20 more cc.
Like i said expected delivery early June now, wait and see I guess. So doubtful it will fly this year. Get some test stand time for sure though.
