Bringing in 2021 with this pattern machine for Peter Woo.
I’ve never put together a high end pattern ship before so lots for me to learn here. Have a bunch of amazing resources behind the scenes to help me with this.
Loaded with the best of the best. YS200 on pipe will also be new to me. Have never played with a supercharged glow.

Solstice, That is the name I have decided on for my new plane. I have never done a build thread before so I am open to suggestions and comments.
Just got my first turbine and need a plane to put it in. I resurrected and modified a plane I designed back in the 80's. First thing to do was to sketch up CAD 2D planform.
After calculating the CoG, I put together a model from dollar store foamcore. I could toss this around the back yard and add weights to check CoG.

I decided to pull the trigger on this new beast from Aviation Designs. I was kinda on the fence about the looks until I saw it fly and love the looks in flight. The high speed performance is also insane. I think Peter said he tipped 500km/h with the Behotec 220 and the flight logs I saw with his airspeed telemetry was 486km/h in the heat at Wingham this past weekend.
I have the red/CF scheme coming!!... should arrive tomorrow.
Landing gear will be Behotec Electric gear with the new highspeed wheels.
Power will be a Behotec 220 with Projet Telemetry. Also using the Intarco UAT which is my favorite by a long shot.
Servos will be Futaba BLS172's all around. Twin Futaba 7008 Rx's into a Powerbox Expander and Powerbox iGyro 3e....

Looking for anyone that has had or has a RC Showcase 40 cc twin on some info as to how the Ignition module (10 pin plug in) hooks up to the futaba 3 wire hall sensor and magnet for the ignition. Connector didn't come with the used engine I bought. here's a picture

Got into this project tonight! Designed for DA150 so the GP176evo should be insane!!
Crazy cool design! All servos are placed at the center of the plane (at wingtube).
* 2 servos ganged together drives long CF pushrod to elevator bellcrank
* 2 servos ganged together for pull pull for rudder
* 2 servos at each wing root ganged together
Tons of CF
Nice canister tunnel

OK so seeing as I have finished my 1/3 Stearman I might as well get a start on my 113" super chipmunk . I will be using the Valach 120 boxer twin for power .. was not planing on starting the kit until this fall but seeing as it won't stop snowing up here I might as well make use of my time . This is one massive box of wood that builds a massive Chipmunk . The kit was cut by National Balsa and while the wood looks very good I don't think they know what a lightening hole is, all the parts are just big slabs . First thing is to lay out the sides and mark out the lightening holes and cut them out with the router . The sides are 3 layers thick for 1/2 the length of the plane so this alone will save a ton of weight ..
