I've always loved Bikes, especially ones with motors
There are quite a few riders in my RC club as well so I figure there's probably a few here. Had a few bikes over the years from dirt to street. My last bike was a dual sport Suzuki DRZ400s, very fun bike. The other day I decided to look into something for just the pavement, around town & short trips. I got a great trade in & picked up a new Yamaha FZ-07
Man this is a fun bike!! And I can't beleave how affordable it is! Super happy with this deal![]()

That bike does look like a fun ride. I've also enjoyed motorcycles over the years, haven't had an offroad bike for quite a while though. Couple photos of my current bikes, a recent HD for 2 up touring and a vintage BMW R100RS that has always been a sentimental favourite of mine.

Wish I had some pics to upload.. but that was back in the day for me when photographs were..you know.. Photographs lol
I road raced at Shannonville , Mostport and also Quebec for about 5 years. Man! those were good times. Didnt have one tenth the money back then, but always managed a new bike for each season. RZ350,RG500,FZ750,FZ1000
Have a good ride.. Keep the rubber down![]()

Right on Paul, nice bikes!
I rented a Harley "Fatboy" when I was in Maui a few years ago & loved it, if $ wasn't an issue I would buy one for sure! I love off road riding too & there is some of the best off road trail systems in the country here. But it's not a good plan to head out in the trails on your own & getting together with other riders on the weekends would cut into my flying hobby!
I hope I can get another off road bike later on, but I would go for strictly off-road & light weight, maybe 350 size. The silly thing is that a new dirt bike is over 3G more than this FZ-07!!
That's cool Trevor, & ya too bad you don't have any pics from those days. I would like to do a riding course where they teach you how to corner properly etc on a track, timing your laps, videoing you & then tell you what your doing wrong. A friend did it and said it was awesome, really improved his skills.

I have been riding motorcycles since 1968. Mostly touring. In the 70's, I ran a 350, 3cyl, Kawasaki on the drag strip. Here is my new baby: 2012 BMW R1200RT

Nice bikes! Yup I've ridden a but too, got the scars to prove it too. Just ride dirt bikes a bit now but would not turn down a good deal on a nice road bike!
Here is a shot of #3 and I from a gopher chasing spree in the back pasture earlier this spring. I'm the one holding the camera...

I went thru the bike phase the same time as my son did. He wanted a bike in the worst way but I couldn't afford to buy a new one for him. So I did what I knew best , improvised. A friend of mine owned a small motors repair shop off his farm but didnt have enough business to keep operating. He had 5 junker bikes in an old grainary and offer)ed the whole shebang to me for 50 bucks. That evening my son and I loaded up all 5 bikes and assorted parts in the truck. Within a week he and I had a 175 Kawasaki and a 125 Honda running and rideable . We spent many enjoyable evenings( when the farm work was finished ) cruising the back roads! Great times!

Mervin. An old buddy that I flew U control planes and built go- karts with when we were kids , grew up and bought one of those 3 cylinder , two strokers. It was absolutely nuts for power. Very quick. Weapon on two wheels !
