you can order the motrolfy 4315-480 at subsonicplanes.com no motors in this class run as cool as this motor, period. it is very effecient and powerful.
Any of the 3 motors would be great though!

Thats certainly one of the contenders. Thanks for the insight, always nice to hear whats working. I have been a tad afraid of cooking my Hacker as one or two fellows have had them come apart under very hard flying. Ive gotten a solid season on mine with no overheating issues so very happy thus far.

The hackers are great motors but there MO is to run hot, the 4315-480 has a very unique design that allows for amazing cooling.

It is the 4315-480 Motrolfly I'm running in the 60" Yak. It has very good power using a 16 x 7 Xoar prop. I think it seems more powerful than the 60" Extra I used to have with the Torque motor but that was a couple of years ago. One flight yesterday was 6 minutes and I had 43% remaining from a 6S 3300 35C Gens Ace battery.

Excellent info thanks, great to hear others running similar gear. No matter the motor I choose the dollar value to get one from the states has shot up considerably. With planes like this I cant imagine using a budget setup or it will end up a Sunday sport plane.....not cool!

So Jack, the picture you have in your Avatar, is she Svetlana Kapanina the Russian pilot that flies the Yak 54?? The videos I’ve watched she handles the stick very well.
