Re: Sound Systems for Electric Planes

So.. Carrying on with the designers sense of humor.. The Horizontal stab has no spar lol They expect a 5lb plane to fly just fine with the foam blocks in the tail LOL I have added a hardwood dowel. It is much stronger now.

I added a block in the wheel well to keep the front of the wing together.

The tail wheel servo was cut out and the springs pulled tight as there was no control over the tail wheel with all the slop.

NICE PROP EH!!! to bad is useless. All reports say that it wont generate any kind of thrust as there is practicaly no pitch. I will mod this too so I can use it, because it would be a shame not to have it on there.

    Okay I found the clip:

It's brief - there were only two of us at the field, and the other guy was flying. So this was just a ground run-up.

Re: Sound Systems for Electric Planes

Well I finally got around to finishing this bird. Wow.. the model itself is a piece of junk and took way to much work to bring it up to snuff. But I did install the MrRCsound system last night and all I can say is WOW!!! The sound is EAR SPLITTING. Its so incredibly load that I could only handle half of the start up sequence in the garage (about 10 seconds) before having to unplug it. Not at all what I was expecting from such a tiny unit.

Yep, that last sentence sums it up. Best thing is, I'd say that the application is still in its infancy. It's gonna get better!
