    Hi Dean,

    I tent to fly a bit nose heavy than the usual recommended CG, I have mine at 1.75" in front of the wing tube I find that it has less coupling in knife edge and snaps better and I don't see a huge change when flying 3D but I think that around 1.5" is a good starting point to fly it and see if you like it.

    Cheers,

    Will

    Dean...just got done unpacking the AJ Slick. I must say this plane is a huge improvement over my Laser. Haven't looked at the hardware and I haven't tried to pre-fit the cowl and engine yet but everything else is simply awesome this time around. The control surfaces all just drop to 35+ degrees. Will start the build real soon.

    Only thing I’m doing right now is finding energy to mount a motor lol. This -40 every day for a month makes me want to hide in the house every day off. Just had 5 days off but had a super shitty throat infection for the last week. Couldn’t even eat lost 10 pounds lol. Now it’s back to work. Blessed for every day I can get in this market.

    I see powerbox systems is a sponsor on the site, maybe they could stop in on my thread and help me set up that Mercury............for something so expensive you'd think the manual would be a little easier to follow I think I can get the plane in the air but I highly doubt I'll figure the gyro part out

    Re: The official Riff-Raff thread (never ending engine thread, East/West)

    If its anything like the igyro 3e then here is my typical setup
    Switch with 3 modes
    A= regular gain, elevator, aileron and rudder at 100%
    Set your gain to +28 and set that in a dial you can adjust from 0 to +56
    B = off,
    C = -28 to -56
    Heading hold can go with the negative and turn on for ailerons and elevators only, again to 100%
    Boot up and stir your sticks once initialized. Then the gyro will have its known endpoints. Latest softwares you do not have to do each time but its always best ro check everything works.

    Once all set up take off and fly gyro off dont trim.
    Then turn on normal +
    Speed up straight and level, if it does weird oscillation slow down and turn down to 25 and try again.
    When you know the number you like aet the same number in your - setup.

    Set to 15ms, if jerky set to 18ms ( I just went thru this with PB because my MKS HV777's dont like the gyro)
