And here are a few shots of the rough equipment layout. Tonight I'll clean this up, but a good start Still have the Intarco UAT to install (mounts above the smoke/fuel pump) and then finish up the fuel plumbing.

Went with an iGyro 3e and Powerbox SRS Expander with a pair of 7003sbus Rx's.

The dual Miracle switch will power up the SRS Expander and also energize the smoke pump with the 2S-350 Thunderpower Lipo. I've learned the hard way on my Tucano that you always put a separate battery in for smoke, LOL.

Once this is all done, I can do a CG check for my battery placement.

Re: Sebart Avanti S - Twin Builds :)

I did a CG check tonight!!!!...

With a 2S-3800 and a 3S-3900 on the battery mounts, the CG came out at 253mm behind the LE of the wing

From a few discussions with some folks in the US that are 3D'ing them, the preferred is 250-260mm so very, very happy that it turned out bang on

The big thing IMO was putting the UAT up in the nose. Plus the Behotec 220 is lighter than most 180's.

The Avanti S is pretty much all done

I checked over all the systems.. air, fuel, smoke, radio, gyro all work awesome

I also blacked out the canopy!!

Tomorrow I have a few decals to apply, primer the turbine, and radio / surface setup

Will do a driveway shakedown sometime this week and a maiden ASAP!!

    Hi,

did you black painted the canopy only for comestic reasons or is there any technical reasons? Anyway, did you put the inside part of the cockpit for strenght reason? or is it completely empty beside the black canopy?
Looking forward to having feed back of the maiden!!!
I see on many forums that the "standard-3D-engine-size" for the avanti is 180 to 220 (or 250 but still looking for that) and I'm very afraid that I will do nothing with my gbooster160.... too bad
    Happy maiden!!

David.. I painted it black just for cosmetic reasons. I did not insert the cockpit liner.... mine came with that part damaged anyway (cracked)

You will be fine with a 160. I have a 140 and no TV and it still does really tight tumbles.
