Nick they only charge for parts
Their work is quite reasonable
My guess is that whack in the ground did not help
Stuff wears out you had a ton of running on that 100
Ask them to lighten the cylinders I think it’s 70$ per piece
My experience is they do all bearings no matter what and carb rebuild
My guess is you will be around that
But it still cheaper than new and they come back as good as new

Hey Nick, DA has been pretty good to me, although sometimes hard to get ahold of. I had one experience that leaves me a bit bitter but I'm not getting into it.
Just be careful on cost, if you do the cylinder lightening, all bearings, carb rebuild plus the shipping you will be getting pretty close to your limit. DA has always shipped stuff really fast to me, but that's not cheap!
That said, DA resale is pretty good, if you get the DA stamp of approval on this one you could probably turn it over and have some cash to put towards a 120 if you're so inclined....or better yet a 123!![]()

Nick - I would support what Ed said. Download the service form from the web site and send it in. Canada Post is fine.
I think I have owned 7 DA's and any time I needed service I have been happy with the outcome.
I had a bearing go on a DA50 - sent it down, they rebuilt the engine and sent it back to me - I only paid shipping
I had a clip go in a DA100 - messed up a connecting rod and cylinder, I sent it down, they rebuilt the engine, new cylinder, piston, rod - I only paid shipping
I recently sent it a DA150 that had a dumb thumbs landing - they did a bunch of work and it cost me $200 to replace a cylinder, piston, ring, rod, hub and spindle.
They are bad at answering the phone but great at what they do and rarely charge you for more than parts. They have told me that they generally will not do more than $150 before getting authorization from the owner.
On the service form write in to contact you before repair. I am confident that they will not charge you $400 unless you authorize the repair.
