Well I finally made a catastrophic error! I changed the game rules in the 3 quarter. I decided not to use the usual pink filler(405 west system) and instead went with microballoons. Normally that would not be a problem.. but I forgot to add cabicil to tie it all together and the cloth sucked the resin right out of the balloons The result was the corners all stayed behind in the mold I'm going to have be careful with the bottom, but I did add some cabicil to that.. lets just hope it was enough. Not enough and it can crack as what happened to the top.. To much and it will never cure hard.

So anywho.. Since this is the prototype im not going to waist more time and money to make another. I will return it to the mold with repairs to the corners and hope that fixes most of it. After saying all that! I have to say.. seeing it with the canopy on is pretty darn inspiring.

Part of the experience is fixing the mistakes. Hopefully that will be a warning for the next time. Looking good.

Well This IS a good day. I was contacted by HobbyKing last night and they want to commission the WETJET.!!!!! 60 units over 2 years!! I have one week to come up with an answer..

What do you guys think? Its a lot of work and I would have to quit my full time job.. but this could mean not returning to work at all...

I would suggest running the numbers. Compare how much are you getting paid per air frame verses the cost of your time and material. It may be difficult to do this until you finish an air frame from start to finish.

Nice dream though Trev, to spend your whole life doing something you love and getting paid for it!!

Should have kept it going for a couple days at least!!
