    Re: Jtec Radiowave 2.8m MX2 Build(s)

    So.....my plane actually flies!!

And very well in the hands of my good friend Gordon who took it up for it's maiden flight last night, a few trim passes & a few clicks of trim and he started into his Intermediate IMAC routine. My set up seems solid for rates and such.
The DA100 (not an L) on the RC Hype pipes sounded and ran great, it was revving to 6650 on the ground with a 27 x 10 Mejzlik on it! The exhaust note on those Hype pipe is perfect, very quiet with a great tone to them and lots of power for the uplines. Skies were a solid grey blanket and it was late in the day with super flat light so no video but I will get some next weekend when I take it up.

I have a few things to do this week and a complete check over to do but I am super stoked to fly it next weekend.

A big shout out to RCCanucks, RCCanada, and all the people who offered advice, information, and support!

(Check out Gordon's flight report in RCCanada in the GS section)

Now I know it is trimmed and such I'll have it out this weekend! I'll get lots of pictures at the field and hopefully some video.

    Re: Jtec Radiowave 2.8m MX2 Build(s)

I did my first two flights on the MX2 yesterday and Gordon was right, WOW!

Sorry gents, no video yet, my video camera man wasn't available yesterday!!
My flying just took a huge step forward and I am very impressed with the stability and feel of this plane! I have a bit of programming to do for a landing mix and a hammer/snap setting to set it up for me but it is flying super as is!! Only mix is a 1% down elevator for a down line mix at zero throttle and I may have to reduce that, little to no knife edge coupling as well.

Flies light but solid and super locked in. The DA100 (non L) on pipes is more than enough to serve me well for years to come in this plane for my IMAC journey!
