    Re: BRZ Composite Pipes!!

I happen to have an email exchange with Yan at Brz today and here is what the 75-90cc pipes look like. I was quoted pricing at $150 eruros each & $60 euros shipping. I was told they were designed on a da170 platform. 28mm input, 850mm length, 53mm big diameter & hard to believe 81.75 grams!!! A true talented craftsman!

I was hoping for a design more as an expansion chamber with a proper divergent cone and convergent cone like his smaller pipes, but that's just me. Designed correctly knowing port timing and other variables big power gains can be made with expansion chambers. I have designed and built a couple myself and actually reached out to Yan to possibly clone one of my designs.

That said, I am really interested in one of these for a ZDZ80 RVJ for a kit I have on the shelf.

I'm working on negotiations for a possible partial trade. We'll see what develops.

WOW! Which pipe is on the scale?

Very cool, I have a new project that I might be able to use the new 35cc pipes in.

That's the 75-90cc in the pics. Hard to believe the weight!!

I made a typo on my last post 75-90cc per Yen rather than 70-90cc I mentioned. Also pricing was in euros not usd.

Is there any video to hear the pipes in action? Hopefully the section between the two chambers is not a weak spot. They do look great though.

    Awesome looking!!!

I'm hoping that BRZ gets back to me soon with an aftermuffler for the 35cc pipes I've got. If I had a pair of aftermufflers that I could stick on mine, the DA70 would be on the test stand tomorrow. The pipes are useless as is due to the noise.

Per my email conversation with Yan, he figured roughly a month before he gets back into manufacturing. Sounds like he's settling into a new place.
