Yeah a friend is looking to do a 35cc setup, personally i don't like the yak and i love the ef edges, but that is my opinion, wondering what other people think.

74" AJ Lazer. Incredible plane.
I must have 500 flights on mine over the past 2.5 seasons (electric) and have seen a couple with a DLE30 and DA35 - both of which are awesome little motors for that plane.

I guess it depends what you want it to do well. I think the straight leading wing design of the Edge makes it a bit more stable for low and slow stuff. I'm currently considering a 60" Laser from AJ...never hear anything bad about that airframe, everyone that has one absolutely loves it, in every size.
Another option just to throw it out there, the 79" Slick from 3DHS is just slightly bigger than a typical 35cc plane but is designed to handle a 50. I love mine and it has eliminated the 35cc class from my hangar because it is just as easy to transport but flies nicer IMHO.
I think you're on the right track brand wise...can't go wrong with EF/3DHS. QQs new stuff seems to get mixed reviews. I love the flying characteristics of my Mamba but there were definitely some minor issues, seems to be the general consensus on the Yak as well. I haven't owned an AJ yet but I definitely plan to!

The Mamba took a few flights but I do love it. It's for a coworker, I was just not sure if it was me or the plane so will suggest and Edge or the Laser

Just finishing the assembly of the 79" Slick with a Da50, and wow is the covering slick, it's printed......
