Thanks. I was flying formation with Ricks Futura. He was maxed out at 187 mph and I was at 30% power. Crazy fast jet.

Hey RCman did you say you have the light kit made by oli? I got my light with loom and for some reason I cannot seem to get any of the landing lights in the L1 and L2 outputs. They go into the 120 mA landing lights in L1 with the jumper removed for the lower power setting and then the front retract landing light, which is a higher power in L2. I put it on a 3 position switch, and the off and flying position work but the landing lights do not come on in position 3... the radio is set to 100% ppm throws...

Hi make sure the jumper plug is plugged in as per the schematic.

Was trying to confirm correct wiring on the controller... Oli got back to me so now i just have to check the wingtip landing led's to see if they are burnt up...

Well I had been recommended to use the MKS 777 Servo in the diamond (the mks 777 is slightly taller than standard which requires modification) but I talked to somebody who freaked out because they said if you have to cut away some of the frame inside the control surface you will weaken a side and could induce flutter so now I have to repair the frames on my two elevator servos and rudder. That sucks has anyone else use the 777 servos or have any recommendations please. Thanks
In hindsight, maybe I didn't have to Mount the servo all the way against the servo mounting cover but instead I could have mounted it with a gap which may have cleared the frame...

Brandon.. I only use Futaba BLS172's in my airplanes. Insane servos (stronger and faster than the specs + an incredible drivetrain + soft start + normal size +,+, +).
These Diamonds take an incredible punishment and is one plane I would not want to take any chances on in terms of structural strength or servo power. While the MKS777 are strong and good servos, the idea of having to modify anything and potentially weaken something scares me.
Also... make sure you get the metal servo cover upgrade. If not you get cheap white plastic servo covers/plastic mounts which scares me so much considering this thing moves at 450+ kph and pulls huge G's.
