Shake down and maiden today! DA70 is phenomenal and the Mamba seems pretty great. I had steady crosswind of ~25km/h and gusting to about ~40km/h, between that and not wanting to beat on my brand new engine too much I didn't get a real great feel for the airframe. I'll get it all dialled in on a warmer/calmer day and get a better feel for it.

I'm sure you're right Jim. I just feel better with any engine letting the rings seat and keeping the temps down until things loosen up a bit. Definitely won't be doing the 10 gallon mega rich half throttle only super break in that some people think is required...just treating my investment with a little respect!![]()

Just Finished mine 21lbs with da70.
So a few issue one of the inter-plane struts is wrong 20mm gap instead of 15mm, quite unimpressed about this one.
On the one that do line up will need a big pair of pliers to install and remove them.
All covering was shrunk, but in some spots it looked like I did it (not very good).
The canopy is almost impossible to install the fit is horrendous.
For an arf of this price I did expect a bit more.

I had the same sorts of issues. Exact same interplane strut fit issue. I had a feeling the canopy latch was inadequate and mine let go after about half a dozen flights. I'm still using pliers on all but one of the strut pins, and that one requires tape to stay in. I personally wasn't impressed with some of the hardware and there were problems with my rudder hinging. If I did it over again I would glue the strut blocks into the wings with the plane fully assembled. I did a test for and it seemed fine but after I glued it I ran into the same issue you have... seems like just the one block goes to deep into the wing.
I have to say though, once I flew it I forget about the little flaws. The airframe is amazing to fly, your going to love it.
****Make sure you loctite the servo arm screws and check them frequently. The arms are a very sloppy fit on the spline and like to loosen. Did you flip the servo mounting grommet inserts?
