Fair is fair John
You can't show me your soldering rig without showing me the final solder joint.

Thanks! I doubt it'll stop the main culrpit though!
That does sound fair... I wish I had remembered to take a picture of it. This after tinning the wire and just BEFORE soldering...
And this is a splice from another project.
Soldering tips are always welcome. I've never had one fail yet but that doesn't mean I'm an expert.

Some foam for the battery.
Battery box closed.
The relief cut on the port side for the gas tank.
The gas tank in position.
Thread lock for the mounting bolts.
Engine installation (almost) complete - just have to run the gas and carb equalization lines. But that's another section.
The choke rod - not sure how I'm going to work that past the dummy radial.

Hey John, I'm sure your joints will hold up just fine. For splicing like that with multistrand wire I've been pushing one into the other and then soldering them...rather than side by side or twisted around one another. Can't remember where I saw it but it is supposed to be stronger, and it tends to look a bit nicer under the heat shrink as well because you don't get much of a lump.
