Been working also on some more scale AIM-9 sidewinders. Here's my progress in 1/6 scale, but have also been working on 1/7 scale simultaneously (for the Hornet).

Thanks Trev, they will look better shortly. i've added the coupling rings (there are 3) as well as the arming handle. Once the printed parts come in i'll get a set assembled, painted and photographed. should look cool. Also creating detailed instructions and painting guide for others to put them together with relative ease. fun stuff...scale...its a sickness...

Just finished up the AIS (aircraft information systems) pods that are used with the ACMI (Airborne Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation). The hornet typically will carry one, and its on the wing tip missile rail. The F-18 also needs them to carry ballast weights, whereas other jets like the F-16, F-15, A-10 etc don't. Fascinating stuff.
Anyways, these should look cool once painted.
