It is 6oz CF cloth.. I cut it to shape, then wet it out with West System. Once cured, with CF on both sides, I doubt a steel plate would be as strong, LOLOriginally Posted by flyloose

With the gear plates CF'd, I got the gear installed for the first time.
Once the scale parts for the gear arrive, I will dissemble everything and paint the gear white.

Wings are done! Nice not having to worry about retracts!!
JR8911's on aileron / flaps, everthing assembled and missile rails installed!!

I've been working on more scale details for the hornet. Finally. Lol. A move really slowed things in 2016 but feels good to be back at it. Been working on a more scale arrestor hook as well as scale landing gear parts. I have those sport scale details but wanted more details. So is the curse. Lol. Also been working on a more scale ejection seat and sidewinders. Hope to get a cockpit done by the end of the year. Fun to be back on it.

We are having trouble getting a nice scale seat and cockpit for Sandro's F18. I found mine years ago on RCU but have no clue where it originally came from.
If you could design both a seat and cockpit quick, I bet you'd have an immediate sale, LOL
