I was just playing around on the outside looking in, and was shut out of viewing threads after about 10 views.

That may shy some fellas away, who are just checking things out, and were not sure of the new site.
It could have the potential to be somewhat limiting.

Yes, after a certain amount of regular views as a guest you will be prompted to join. I believe it is about 10 pages. It encourages registration to the site.

that is super annoying. it should open to a new page.
can you paste a link of page where this is happening and what browser you are using.
