Not sure if they'd be a license mech....I'm sure some sort of training would be involved since they build to us.marine specs for Thier UAV engines....regardless DA has always been the been the "Bench Mark" engine in this hobby! Every one competes against the top dog of gas engines....now if those could follow Thier service aspect....that would be great! Not one of their engines would be handed like that in a vise and sent to anyone! Peirod end of story.

Holy Cow Jack. I haven't been on here all day and just caught up... that is extremely disappointing

I know I would be so upset if it were me.

Are you going to have this resolved??? I would be doing a follow up and get Fergie in on this. Unexceptable having also heard the saga you went through. Sheesh

I have been wrong before though!

For sure...from what I've heard about Fergie he will likely make it right. Wouldn't be shocked if he sent you a new motor or at least a new mounting plate. Wouldn't hurt to measure the run-out before you email him, might be tipping point to get you a new motor.

I have to say, as much as this is a horror story, I've seen the 123 run along side a DA120...no question which one I'll buy...unless I'm building a paint shaker!

Good luck Jack, hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction.
DA is in the drone business, so as Manny said about training or licensing would be my guess.

If you want to Spray Paint go with the GP. Ask Jack about the oil sprayed all over his plane from them top quality gaskets. Go ahead ask him. lol

I believe a lot of these rc plane motors are in more drones then we know....
Dan told me to buy jacks motor so I would sell him your old dle Jeff for his Cessna.
I asked why do you want the dle. He says I wanna keep my 123 and sell the Cessna bahahaha. Might not win my bet

As Manny and Jeff say, DA is a professional business.....what they charge people for first tearing there new engine down and then sending it in for warranty...I don't know...but I'm sure it's justified!!

GP so far has been an absolute gong show from the word go 3 years ago......as far as the yard ape service center....is a perfect fit with the gong!!
