It seems that EDF and Turbine jets don't share the same following. Would it not make sense to have an electric jets section as other forums have?
Any thoughts?

Wow a jet is a jet is a jet - Why split hairs ? EDF or Turbine both all are jets - More important "Props are for stirring paint!" Ask yourself when you post does this make me sound like Iam a narrow minded F&N jet snob? If you answer yes time to widen your mind about jets and stop looking down your nose at what others are having fun with
Jets are like a box of chocolates - You never know what your going to get! Nobody here is better than anyone else be happy and if you can't be positive don't post it!
Cheers and have a great Jet day!

Doesn't matter to me (it's a free site so really no right to complain) ...but.....if I'm allowed an opinion I would prefer a turbine only forum, really not interested in filtering out stuff I have zero interest in to get to the good stuff![]()

Thanks Ken, but unfortunately there is little interest for EDF from those who have "graduated" to turbines.
Little do they know what fun they are missing!

i have a dozen or so edfs in the stable ken. it had nothing to do with better or worse so before you go looking down your bent out of shape nose again think first. it's just easier to have two forums as the issues between the two greatly differ. you should know that as you've been around both.
eric i'm well aware of the fun of edf. it would seem it's you two that have the problem.

Problem?
Sorry Mark, I don't follow. Modelling has many paths to follow and I realize we are all passionate about our current interests.
Back to the thread,
It does seem there might be some polarization of interests and perhaps separate forums might be one solution.

that's not true. just about everyone i know has both. edfs will always be a great quick stick fix at the field. the tech stuff between the two however makes the smart move for two forums. flying hoover is a term of endearment not a kick at people who seem to suffer from wee man syndrome over what they fly.

I think that there should be split categories.. But Just NOT YET. There is simply not enough Jet followers on this forum to make this change yet.
Perhaps in a year or so?
I haven't flown an EDF in over 4 years.. But still I can see how the EDF flyers would take their somewhat expensive models, being called a Vacuum Cleaner as offensive.
