Just banged up my 30cc Sundowner pushed to hard on the throttle and pulled to hard on the elevator and snapped it into the ground. Need a new 30cc 3D plane. Have a 33-OS GT for it with a standard Pitts muffler that comes with it.
Looking at.
1 AJ Lazer like the plane never owned any of his planes but looks very interesting.
2. The new Pilot Edge V3 with the Hamilton watch scheme. Looks good but there is almost a $200 premium on the plane.
3. a Inverza 33 from Hanger9
All your input will be appreciated and pros and cons of each plane. Have never owned a 30cc 3D plane so I need help. Do have a Aeroworks Pro 260 but not crazy about it and difficult to do 3D but I am getting there. Teaching and old dog new tricks. This plane will be used to practice and teach my self 3D. Need the best plane for 3D. Thanks for your help.

My friend has an MXS-R from here -> http://peakmodel.com/index.php?main_...26b2f968613af4
The quality and construction is really good considering what you pay, and it's light as heck. I've flown it several times and it's on par with the big makes for sure!! They ship from their US warehouse, and occasionally they have Free Shipping anywhere in the USA so if you live close to a border, it makes things really inexpensive!!

There are just a ton of very capable airframes available now. My personal favorite brand is Extreme Flight. I'm still very much a newbie, but in my limited experience I've found that Edges with their straight leading edge are the most stable in low and slow maneuvers. This is available in Canada right now: http://www.pro-rc.ca/extreme-flight-...lue-red-white/. Lorne is a stand up guy...wouldn't hurt to give him a call and see if he's planning on having a sale on these anytime soon...he won't be carrying Extreme Flight moving forward, so just maybe. Also, Greathobbies has picked up the line so parts should be accessible if you need them.
Just to back up my opinion a bit...I've owned multiple "giant scale" 3D planes from Extreme Flight, 3DHS, RedwingRC, Pilot, Aeroworks and other. Extreme Flight have always been the most durable and have great flight characteristics. I believe they are very well engineered in terms of geometry, airfoil, etc. They just seem to have harder wood, more carbon, etc. Yet their price is pretty darn close to the others. I do put my money where mouth is, I've just pre ordered a 91" EF Yak 54 in the Russian Thunder scheme and a Legacy (EF offshoot) 84" Turbo Bushmaster...these two will refine my collection for next season! The 91" Yak will replace my 3DHS Yak 55M, which is a great flying plane but very fragile to handle and the Bushmaster is to replace my Carbon Z Cub.
All that said, I know Andrew Jesky is a hell of a designer and I don't doubt that the Laser is a fantastic flyer, you can see how much Trevor loves his on these forums. The only caveat I can see is that he seems to use more of a 3DHS approach to the construction, ie. light woods everywhere, not much carbon in the structure, etc. That light weight approach is one of the reasons they fly so well but you have to be a little more careful handling them. That said, I've never owned one... that's just how it appears to me.
Whatever direction you go, make sure you keep us up to date and do a build thread if possible! If you have any questions at all as you go through your build there is a ton of help available here!

Hi Robert;
I have the Aeroworks 30cc Edge 540 ( orange ,white and black one ) and been flying it for 2 yr. now . I have the O.S. 33cc motor in it and it makes a good como. for this size of plane .

Dear Cosmith. Thank you for taking the time to write your thoughts and recommendations. I have read it a couple of times. So Pro-rc will not be selling EF in the future. But Great hobby will be an EF distributor. Never ever looked at EF planes will have to look at there planes. Have followed Trevor on his thread on the AJ aircraft looked good and he did like the plane, that is one reason why I am interested in the AJ aircrafts

No problem. Not sure where you live but another advantage to AJ for me is they are only about a 3 hour drive, and only half an hour from my parents place. Seems we pay about 20% extra in shipping for giant scale ARFs...nice if you can pick it up and avoid that.
PS. I paid way too much for the Aeroworks Extra 260 I currently have and although it flies well the quality isn't quite good as most of the other ARFs I've had. On the same page as you regarding them.
