THAT I' VE GOT to see!

    Haven't flown C/L in about 40 years.

Tempted to give a go again as the Burlington Club I belong to has a circle at the field.
Annual Worldwide Ringmaster Fly-in 2nd Weekend of OCT. World wide postal event to get as many flights in.

Was at the Burlington field last year and offered to give it a try with a plane they really didn't like but turned it down. Might try again this year.

    1 x DA100L - 35% Original BBT Carden 330 Patty Scheme
    1 x DA150 - 40% Carden Extra 260
    1 x DA170 - In Storage waiting to be installed in a 40% JTEC Extra 330XS
    1 x Mintor 110 - 35% BBT Aerotech 107" Yak 54 - Group Tranchant Scheme

I also have an Undefined Shelf EME 35 in an 76" EF MXS-EXP purchased form Mr.T = - No Blue Birds though - Savox and some killer Mini MKS servos.

Personally, my best engines are kept in cowls.

A top shelf normally gets dusty and forgotten about, and is mainly for long-term storage.

    (with luv...LOL)

Ha! A new definition of top shelf I see. I think the only one that might be capable of flying on that list is the 3W55/Carden, so your new definition is pretty accurate, LOL.

There's a lot of opinions Will....I will say that now, they are probably as good as most any other on the market and Lorne takes really good care of his customers. They have new cylinders now and they are some of the best I've seen.

I flew a friends last summer and it run as well as any other good engine on the market. Lots of hype about the power, I have only run my new one on the deck so far and for its displacement I'd say it's adequate. it didn't blow me away as I thought it would. From what I've seen it swings 1" more diameter-same pitch-same rpm over the 3W-106 and DA 100L. The other advantage is the GP is quite light compared to 3W and MVVS. So it's kind of a bonus all around.

Would I buy another? You bet, mine starts very easily, idles smooth and has great transition. (hopefully a maiden this week yet)

Definitely worth a look if you're in the market Will, I don't think you'd be disappointed.
Thanks for the information Jack! I am not planning on buying one yet but I am very curious about it. I still have my good ol' DA150 in the blue Yak. Still runs well
I'll look forward to see you flying hopefully in the spring fun-fly!

    Will

    Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmm

So you are saying YOU sold me a lemon EME35 in the EF MSX-EXP? Wait we flew it a few weeks ago before YOU broke the prop.

The Carden 260 flew last fall but not in the winter.
I'll be working on the Mintor Yak as soon as the gyro is done if the Carden9 Extra (No comment from the Penis Gallarty)

The JTEC Extra is B/U for the Carden 260 and is in storage.

It is going to be pure pandemonium tonight here with grand opening of the new arena, security guards every. Right beside our hotel, should be quite the side show. Now they need to buy a hockey team.
