How large is the jet, and what are the recommended torque ranges by the manufacturer of the jet?

BLS-29A they are brushless, 407 Oz in at 7.4 volts: http://www.thunderboltrc.com/index.p...4HnRHP53jKCcv2

The BLS-36A are overkill but super fast and 494 Oz in at 7.4 volts.: http://www.thunderboltrc.com/index.p...4HnRHP53jKCcv2

As for Gyros, they have no problem with Gyros: http://rccanucks.com/showthread.php?...4795#post54795

Vettster on this board have been using BlueBirds on his jets, he can provide feedback.

    Because people like money!!

Lots of reasons, just like anything else...you pay some for each materials, manufacturing labour, marketing, management labour, other overhead, shipping, margin for each middle man, etc. Whoever spends the least can charge the least. That said, I think Bluebird offers a good value and I'm very happy with mine, but I do expect the prices to rise as they become more popular. I'm pretty sure MKS used to be a budget brand.
