Very nice F-15 RIchard! The paint job is very nice! Looks like it was a nice project. I was just about to ask if you stayed in the scale jets, but I just saw your F-104 on Trevor's thread, BEAUTIFUL! Looks like Trevor has some competition!
I had thought about just keeping the F-15 with just tailerons, but my scale junkie side of me had to have the ailerons, flaps and speed brake. I like to have my planes as scale as I can afford/make them for the given project, except when it comes to engine choice, I pit an 84cc Saito radial on my GS TF P-47... The heads stick out, but damn what a sound!
The flight times are pretty short, especially right now as I give myself plenty of reserve time for overshoots. So right now my flight times are 5 min, which gives me enough fuel for 2 over shoots. When I get more comfortable I will push my flight times to 7 min. With the Cheetah I found it was more then powerful enough for me. For me it's about the whole turbine experience, and top speed isn't that high on the priority list. Besides I clocked my previous F-15 at 315kph, for me that was PDQ!!! (Pretty Damn Quick).

I love how you guys have detailed your jets, I will probably keep it the way it is as far as finishing/detailing goes, and if it survives the summer I will probably do a lot more detailing and weathering next winter.

Louis... Rich is the detail master. Always fun going over to his place and seeing the stuff he's into. He is building a massive F104 for Ali right now. The size needs to be appreciated in person. Dwarfs our F104's
Can't wait to see your F15 in the air.

Well boys, I have been on vacation since last week, so that's why I haven't been posting any updates lately. However I did get a chance to finally meet a pretty cool guy.
I needed a few items from BVM and thought since I will be in Florida why not go check out BVM and pick up what I need when I visit BVM. Well turned out that Bob Violet was there and he was the one that helped me out. I needed some info on a BVM MiG15 that I am working on for a friend and Bob was there to help out and answer any questions I had regarding the MiG.
What was much more interesting was talking to him about his real life aviation experience. Turns out that Bob and my Father both served in Vietnam during the same time (but didn't cross paths though... Now that would have been freaky!!). Bob Flew A-4 Skyhawks off of Cariers for the Navy and my Father Flew Single Otters for the Army. Pretty neat to listen to them recount some of their missions they flew.
It was a great visit and got to meet the man himself who has helped shape our hobby into what it is today. I will be back this Sunday and should get back to the F-15 when I get home.

So back to reality.... And the cold(ish)....
So I worked on the pnumatic system today, and did a gear swing. After some help I got from Trever a while back regarding plumbing and set up of the sequencer valve (UP3) I managed to get it all working pretty good.
Here is the panel 99% done, just need to tidy up the lines and push them completely onto the fittings.
Still need to put the labels on for each system, and to tidy up the connections for the valves and servos. The valve furthest on the right will be for the speed break, so I just need to hook up the lines, not much else to do with those lines.
here is a video of the gear swing.

Very nice Louis. Looks nice and smooth and no hard motions. Did you play with the needle valves on the UP3 to adjust the motion or is that stock?
Congrats!!
