7100 rpm on a 25 8w on pitts is a bit optimistic for sure, but hey in America everything's better.

Try reducing your timing as you may be experiencing engine "pinking" when the engine is hot and also check if your rpm drops at full bore as when the tuned pipe gets hot this effectively shortens the tuned length, if the rpm drops its a sign the header is a tad short and makes the engine run to hot also causing pre combustion.

My MVVS rattles/pinks at idle briefly when over tuned.

Not saying that's your issue, just a thought.

The 7200 rpm plus on the 24 9 sure does make me think the cylinder has a good port design, that's one strong motor.

We did header testing to find a good length. And if you heard the motor in person you would agree on the ticking. It does have good porting not disagreing with that but the head just looks cheap. Even with the Pitts muffler it had the tick after full throttle. Terry and one other guy reported the same issue. Haven't heard from two guys.

No worries I actually forgot the part where you said it had more slop on the bottom end than a well spanked EME. Seems a few agree it is not quite there yet quality wise considering the price. I was never interested in another 62cc but might have been interested in a cheap powerful 124cc in the future.

As you get older the need to help others (physically or knowledge based ) increases, so I might/should help a LHS on Friday with some manual labor to keep their overhead down.
