I have had a pair of these at home for a year now.
I believe that they were authorized by Badan, as they are in the following ad photo at the bottom left!

On that note... Dan... whatever you do, please don't start having these made as mass produced ARFs!!!

Keep them exclusive to kits. If the 2M flies as well as the 3M these Vertigos will gain mega popularity over time as people try them out and will become valuable like a Carden!!

Good advice I think, hard not to notice the Hype -> rush -> market flood -> stigma cycle most ARF's go through. In the end the fashion changes and the consensus becomes that whatever just became available is WAY better than that last years new debut, even though it's almost never true.

I am not arguing the point but limiting a plane to a kit will limit your buying audience. As time goes on less and less people in the hobby will have the time or know how to build from a kit. If he does offer an ARF just make sure it is a top quality build so he can charge a premium.

Perhaps that's what he's doing, the 3m ARF definitely comes at a premium price.

Almost back on track. The bearing blocks in the ailerons are complete and this morning I wrapped the LE with a strip of sheeting.

Tonight I can start prepping the sheeting and hopefully do the layups on Saturday before the kids get up

Got the LE strip on the ailerons blended into the foam core and the hinge slots opened up and test fitted onto the wings!! CHECK

Before I skin the ailerons the proper angles got cut in the roots and tips

Starting to look like a Vertigo

Aileron skins are edge glued. Tomorrow AM I will sand them. Tomorrow night --- lamination time
