    Coming together nicely there Pete.

Did the windex trick work for the trim? How bout the canopy?

Yes Terry the Windex to centre all stripes, squeezing out fluid with credit card, let sit for 24 hours, then apply MonoKote trim solvent on the edges (which I thank you for) & let it set for another 24 hours. Just working on patterns for the canopy, not sure the process for it, will experiment on a test canopy.

Glad it worked for you, at our age we should have acquired some patience, not like my grade daughter a few years ago. I gave her the "Patience Kristi Patience" a few years back -- at which point I got and exasperated hands on hips look and "I got's no patience Grampa"

Biggest trick on that canopy is going to be keeping the individual pieces flat. Windex doesn't work on curves, or at least I haven't found the secret. Worst case scenario maybe paint the top of the cowl and the front of the canopy a flat black - anti-glare - don't want the pilot blinded by all that PINK!!!

Did you ask him where he got the pink paint? That would take a lot of monocoat!!!

    Re: Project PINK / Why??

The canopy is now complete, using Weldbond, then squeeze out with credit card, cleaning edges with wet paper towel, let sit for 6 days, fold material over, use mini iron to seal & trim edges with pen soldering iron. The downfall is the added material makes a tight fit under the cowl, may have to trim back & at the same time not have the under colour show.

Mounted the motor (Hacker A40-10L-V2), Graupner speed controller & small battery pack (7.4V) directly to the receiver. Not sure that I like the colour choice on the cowl, but this thing needs to be in the air for Friday. Using a Falcon 14x7 prop & the slotted spinner for extra cooling.

Can we assume the pilot will be of the fairer sex?

Pete, make sure someone gets a video of the maiden please. I likely won't make the fish fun fly this year.
