Ok, I have been holding out on this one. Probably my dumbest brain fart EVER! Fession time!

Not likely many of you remember the days when you used a hand crank to start a vehicle... well I still have one of those that I use to saw fire wood. #1 rule: it MUST be out of gear BEFORE starting is tried!

I bet you didn't think I was still that quick on my feet eh?

Well it starts easy.

It's totally amazing how quick a 5 foot gap closes up even in first gear when you are between the two!

There are not one but TWO brain farts in this picture committed by our beloved military about 2 weeks ago.

#1 Caught the country side on fire cooking lunch when the area under a fire ban due to the extreme dry conditions out here this spring. And yes they did promise to pay for the damage to two neighboring farms!

#2 Take a look at where they set up the antenna for their communications base! DIRECTLY under a high tension power line! Yes the line follows the fence and the antenna is about - what maybe 6 feet away and extends 30 or 40 feet ABOVE the power line! It was also a very windy day!

Believe it or not, no one was killed!!

I glued my left thumb and index finger together with CA about a week ago. About an area the size of a dime, took me 30 minutes with debonder and a flat screw drive to get them apart!

I did get the part glued in the plane where I wanted it but there was a few tense moments there when I realized I had all that excess glue on my fingers!

Just thought this would be an amusing idea, a sort of place to confess our "dumb - dumb" moments and have a good laugh at ourselves! In the shop, on the field or where ever.

I will start it off with the one I just did today. See anything wrong here?

Just put a tail wheel on the tip of the rudder. 😜
