    Linear stepper motors

I have 2 linear stepper motors (300mm Spindelantrieb Linearantrieb Linearführung Linearmodul 42 Stepper Motor, https://www.ebay.de/itm/300mm-Spinde...72.m2749.l2649 ) and I have been having some issues. When I plug them into my arduino running grbl and the axle is disconnected it works just fine but when I connect the axle it just vibrates violently back and forth.

would be looking for anyone who can give support!

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Linear stepper motors

    Hey Levin.

I have similar motors on my Stepcraft CNC machine.

There are some CNC forums that might be a better arena to seek support. I don’t think there are too many people here on RC Canucks with that kind of equipment.

    Try CNCZone
    https://www.cnczone.com/forums/

There are others as well since these motors or usually used for running the gantries in Small CNC machines.

    Best of luck!

    Re: Linear stepper motors

Motor is stalled when it vibrates, not enough torque to do the job. Not familiar with your particular setup, but in general, possible solutions are the same.
    1. Reduce the acceleration.
    2. Reduce the speed.
    3. increase current limit of the driver.

    Re: Linear stepper motors

My previous post forgot to offer the most obvious possible problem. Make sure the axis is free to move. A tiny misalignment will cause binding.

    Re: Linear stepper motors

I had trouble with the Y-Axis of my CNC for almost a year.
In the end it was one slightly bad bearing.
So even the slightest of resistance on any axis can result in all kinds of odd problems including stepper motor issues.

    Re: Linear stepper motors

you must change the diameter of the syringe or the pitch of the screw.
