    Blade 180 thread

    I just picked up a blade 180.

I've been getting it all tweaked out in the gym. Its really responsive, way better than the 130.

It feels liks it really wants to go. Anyone else have one? what mods/tweaks have you done to yours?

I have one but I'm not much of a heli flyer. I have only put a few flights on it, stripped one cyclic servo's gear, flew a little more. I dialed down the rates, I forget exactly how much but around 50% and could fly it much smoother. I think it will be a great heli, looking forward to get used to looping and rolling it outside when warmer.

How about a cute goblin-ish canopy for the 180?

I'm thinking of getting one. Not bad for 12$US +shipping. Apparently only adds 10g to the heli

    Re: Blade 180 thread

I've had the pleasure of throwing this heli around outside for the first time this week.

    WOW

    I am really impressed.

It really performs, and its so light its very responsive to collective reversals doing ticktocks or piroflips.

I did have to adjust the gain on the Tail Rotor from the original factory settings(that they give you to program your TX).
I was noticing a bit of tail wag. So I boosted gain from 50% to 60%, and that really seemed to help.

    I love this little heli!!

I would say you are really going to like it. Im a bit paranoid flying it in the gym. Those hardwood floors can be so un-forgiving. Now that I had a chance to fly it outside this week, I am really impressed. It handles so nice outdoors, WAAAY better than the 130, and it handles so well, you'll think its a 450!

    Re: Blade 180 thread

I've always wanted something "just a bit better" than the 130- one thing I always didnt like were the linear servos in the 130. So when the 180 came out it seemed hopeful it would be better.

Then there is always the buyers remorse after you get it..."is it worth the money??" You are questioning yourself. But after this week, those questions are gone. Only one question left.... "when can I fly it again!!!!" LOL.

If you want something really compact you can keep in a toolbox in your car to take out for one or 2 quick flights at lunchtime and still have the capability of a 450, this is the one!! You guys wont regret it if you get one
