OMG 3D modeling is IMPOSSIBLE!!! I got a lulzbot mini2 3D printer and im just trying to make a simple square-ish flat mounting plate with a 5mm thickness and the top edge being a little wider than the bottom so the taper fits the cockpit opening. (literally a flat square plate that is a trapezoid with 2 sides being parallel) I tried using Blender software and it is a NIGHTMARE to understand. I just want to tell the program how many mm i want everything and its mind altering trying to wrap my head around this even after half a dozen youtube tutorials which never quite explain exactly what you need for your project. Blender uses "blender units" and figuring out how to simply make an object X mm is way to complicated. Im a click and type in the dimensions kinda guy.
Any software suggestions? Where do start?
Thanks

Thanks Ricky! I crashed my diamondflew 1 lap around the pattern for a fairly low pass over the runway after decending from downwind at idle and then went full throttle but the turbine spooled up a little bit and then shut off so I was stuck heading towards the field and trying to gain a little altitude with what speed i had but couldn't make the turning it started to stall and came down at about a 30 degree nose-down angle and smashed in half. None of the Interior components or turbine were damaged so at least that's good but now I need a new one. Does anyone want to sell an airframe? It's going to probably take me a few months to buy a new one if I can get one on layaway.
Happy new year!!!

Okay I'm going to be purchasing a replacement diamond air frame. I was thinking either going with the gray with red vinyl like I had before, or maybe the orange sports scheme is the best. Any opinions on the best color scheme?

In my mind, the red and orange sport schemes are the nicest. IMO.
TBrum has the red, and it is a nice metallic colour that contrasts well with the faux carbon accents.
I have the orange Scorpion and I get a ton of compliments on the looks. The orange Diamond is the same colour.
Again, just my opinion, but you asked!!
