Demon Cortex on a Super Cub

Ok guys, any suggestions as a result of this question will be very much appreciated. I just picked up a killer deal on a brand new, sealed in the box, Demon Cortex( not the pro) from my local HS. Can any body advise me to a starting point on the gains for a 1/3 scale Super Cub with 141 inch wing span. This plane is a real floater and a pleasure to fly but in a bit of wind , the fun quite often turns to panick when hit with a cross wind or updraft. That’s why I opted for the basic Cortex as the information with it says it is basically ready to go. As my 10 channel radio is maxed out for channels , I plan on using a Y cable on my dual channel flaps , and using my original 3 position flap switch to operate the gyro. I will then reposition the flaps to a 2 position aux switch . ( Really only need 1 flap setting plus an off position.) This plane weighs 36 pounds, if that is of any consideration. Thanks for any suggestions.

I've only been using Jeti assist receivers and PB iGyro so far, so I can't offer you much help unfortunately...I know with iGyro 20-22% is usually a good starting point, but not a clue with Cortex...

Hopefully someone else with some user experience will chime in for you. If not perhaps you could try reading or google from sources like Flying Giants or RC Groups? I'm sure stuff will pop up for ya...

the way i was shown is put the gyro gain to a slide switch take off fly and dial in the gain until plane starts to oscillate then back it off land and set to that number on a switch that u like
a helper makes this easier
check directions of gyro on all surfaces too
