    I am always worried about the grease in the servos getting to hard to function in the winter and locking up. Also, I am concerned with piling up the gear train when the grease separated with extreme heat of the summer.

    Real concern.

    Guys,

    The original post was about being glad I sent the DA70 in for a checkout after the crash as it needed work and if I had run it again it would not have been pretty.

    I was speculating why the crash occurred. My JETI was telling me my engine was overheating and I thought I was adding some humor saying it was screaming at me.

    I was rushing the landing because of the two control losses I experienced and I wanted to get it on the ground before a third but that didn't happen. I did not feed in FULL Down and FULL throttle. which caused the crash. There was loss off control somehow so I thought it may have been an overheating of the Receiver,not the engine. Engine never quit until it made contact with the ground. I'll be the first to admit pilot error but this time it was not. I may have mixed up my CB200s and this may have been the one that had a dunk in the Soo River a few years ago. I thought I had gotten rid of it but ,maybe I didn't so then I guess we could class this as pilot error for loosing track of the Rx.

    The RE3X specs are Operational temperature [°C] -10 ... 85

    The CB200 specs are Operational temperature [°C] -20 ... 75

    So I'm sure I didn't get anywhere near those.

    My initial post was speculation so yes guilty of that.

    I'm not sure I was monitoring Rx Temp unless the JETI logs it on it's own. I have the Logs but I don't know how to read them. LOL. I'm not ditching all my JETI stuff because of this and not bashing JETI. Something happened I can't explain.

    So Trevor do you know how to read the Logs?

    I've been flying at every HITV Event since inception save for last year due to Work. I did manage to Hang out with the Boyz 2 nights as I was working about 150K away from the event but since I had my work truck I couldn't sneak a plane in it.

    I've already Registered, PAID and booked the Friday off for this year so NO the first line is not about me.
