I just switch it to NiCd and hit it with 30 seconds of charge to bump the voltage up to close to nominal and then flip quick to Lipo and it should catch!!
Perhaps there are better ways though!

Hi,
What kind of tool do you use to cut out so properly the wood in such a small space ?
And about your nice nose gear reinforcement, I would be afraid of breaking the fuselage in case of hard landing, instead of the original wood plate.
In case of "hard-anything", there is always something that breaks... such as your plastic arm on your steering servo !
And I also do prefer to break this plastic arm than a servo, whatever price it costs !
I expect to receive my avanti today or tomorrow, according to tracking number, and the electric gear, the VT pipe and dubro 3 liters tank later, but I don't know when !
I'm a 6 years old boy on christmas day !!!

Woohoo! Congrats on the news of getting it today! Christmas in April!!!
Ya - definitely tough getting deep in there to open up space for the turbines!! I use one of these oscillating saws... cuts through the mounting rails like butter and the blade can be oriented 90deg to the tool, so easy working!! I then just cleaned it up with a Dremel tool and a cable extension with a disk drum on the end

I hear you about the front gear plate. As it is now, I don't think the fuse will break (the fuse seems really nice and stiff), I think the whole front nose gear assembly would break out rather than just tearing out the mounting plate. All that being said, I hope I don't test this theory, LOL.

Thanks for the link. I have never used this kind of saw.
Seems to be quite usefull in small spaces.
I hope you won't test fuselage flexibility either !
Good luck for the weather for maiden !
