A long time ago I bought a used Mac Minarelli 85cc engine, not really sure why, I guess it was just too good a deal to pass up and the fellow club member needed the cash. It's been sitting on the shelf for 15 years lol.
One day I was bored and got the crazy idea to convert the ignition from the weird hybrid magneto/jumpstart to a RCexl electronic ignition. I did the mod and finally got to run it today. It runs really nice, starts easy, idles and transitions well. The engine came with a Zinger 26x10 so that's what I'm running it with for now. I'm getting 5600 RPM and I feel like it's a little low, leaning didn't get me any more rpm so I'm wondering if I need to advance the timing.
Would advancing the timing get me more rpm or should I just leave it alone since it's running so nice. I think I'll get a big Decathlon to put it in so I probably won't miss the extra bit of power. I'm pretty pumped that it even runs to be honest lol
