The snow is not bad it's the freakin Low Temps and High winds that are even keeping Trevor and John grounded.

I think we have had here, somewhere around 4’ total snowfall so far. Not much for wind but damn cold as well.

Re: The official Riff-Raff thread (never ending engine thread, East/West)

Hey guys - like Jim says its winter in Canada. Remember the good old days - 6 feet of snow & -20 for 28 days straight. LOL

Yesterday I spent 4 hours plowing 8" - 10" of snow off my driveway and a couple of neighbors (gotta love acreage living). Just as I'm finishing up the wife informs me that our furnace isn't working. No problem, I have a spare ignitor, so start to replace that, drop it about 2" and it breaks. Send wife for new one, install it, still no work. Jiggle a few wires and there it goes but no real confidence. Seems to work over night but dies again about noon today. Call heating guy and we decide it probably needs a new control board, not cheap especially on Super Bowl Sunday but it is -20 outside. So $1300 later the furnace is running. I'll almost guarantee the problem is a $5 relay on the old board but again at -20 you can't really argue or wait for Amazon to deliver a replacement.

Maybe tomorrow I can get back to assembling a 50cc Sukhoi arf that I have made last for the entire month of January so far. I can probably make that last another couple of weeks, then start routine maintenance on the rest of the fleet and hopefully that will take me through to spring and flying season. See how easy it is to get through a Canadian winter. LOL

Hopefully this little tale of woe will make you feel better about your week end and remember spring can't be more than 3 - 4 months away.

Yep...winter in Canada. Just sucks because being a seasonal worker, im off from December to April. No winter toys, no builds on the go. Just sitting here thinking about the warmer weather. I suppose i could load the new trailer and head to Florida for a couple months. Just not sure how my wife would take it. Lol

One of the best descriptions of this countries P.O.S. prime minister so far!! He makes me puke!!

Piers Morgan Slams Justin Trudeau: ‘You Spineless Virtue-Signaling Excuse For a Feminist’

“He is the single most PC-friendly, touchy-feely Prime Minister in the history of world politics,” Morgan wrote. “He marched at Canada’s version of Gay Pride, he’s pro-choice on abortion, pro legalizing marijuana and pro just about anything else that he thinks might win him the hearts of global liberals.”

Easy there Burner. These fellas from the east voted this gem in before we even had a chance to vote. They like the touchy-feely types with nice hair.
