    Jetz part duex

Well boys, after a very rough start into jets I was very nearly ready to give up jets. I was literally about to contact a few guys that had showed interest in my turbine, when I decided to have a look at the classifieds, and found this beauty.

It happed to take the exact same turbine as the one I was about to sell... It was meant to be.... LOL.

The previous owner made a good deal with me and I got it. So before I posted all over the place that I got a new Jet I thought I would fly it at least once before I post it. After 6 flights on the F-15 I still wasn't really enjoying it, or even coming close to being "relaxed" with it. With the hawk, even on the maiden I was more relaxed flying it then I ever was with the F-15. Dare I say, I even enjoyed it a little. So I am pretty sure the Hawk is much more my style of plane and flying. Anxious to fly it again!

    Myles,

It's different. For me I find it easier to fly. I personally didn't like the way the F-15 flew. For the only time I like the way it felt, was at full throttle, every other setting it flew like crap. Again this is all my opinion. Some guys like the way the F-15 flies, but not my style. I find the Hawk actually has a wing and flies more like a big pattern ship. Very stable and also far more aerobatic then the F-15 could ever hope to be. Their characters are much like their full size counterparts. The F-15 is a big heavy high power monster! The Hawk is a light maneuverable aerobatic aircraft. I just find the Hawk is more my style.

One thing for sure, is that the Hawk has a MUCH better glide ratio then the F-15. The F-15 has the glide ratio of a Brick! The Hawk actually has a wing and it glides pretty good actually.

So all in all I think the Hawk is an easier plane to fly then the F-15, this could also be differnet if you chose different manufactures. The CARF Hawk in this size was designed to fly well, sacrifice some scale phidelity for a better flying airframe. Another big difference is the gear, the Hawk has BIG beefy wide stance gear with large wheels. Much much better suited to grass and rough terrain. The gear on the F-15 is much more suited to paved runway, it works on grass, but not the best.

I think the Hawk is more my style of plane, it flies very nice, especially this version. I will have another F-15 eventually, but for the time being I will stick with airframes more like the Hawk. The F-15 is a Monster! I love the way it looks and it's intimidation factor.

Yeah man, I have no doubts that the hawk is more gracefully in there air. Look at all the beautiful wing area :-)
