    5 Clik build

    building 5 Cliks, objective 113 grams or better for every one. All rtf including bats ( need to supply bats so I can maintain the final weights). Airframe without bat 100 gram
    Green = Ed and Scott
    Red = John
    Purple = Bob
    and the last is Paul, I am not sure of his colour because he has the kit already.

    Power will be via 3100kv motors turning 6030 props, 6a esc
    Servos 4.2 gram and 2.5 gram
    Kits RC Factory ( twisted hobbies) Clik ng
    5 simultaneous builds occupies allot of space so that's the limit for this build.

    Time to hurry up and watch the mailbox/fedex

    Re: 5 Clik build

    Started this am, after sorting things out, readjusting the servo quantities and so on I found I need a couple more servos for spares and somehow I never ordered bats for myself or spares for anyone else -DOHH

    pic 1 sorted
    pic 2 cf and bagged parts sanded, mods to bag contents include small z bend wires and shrink tubing to be used at the servo end of the rods.
    pic 3 just shows how to keep the lg together while glue job in progress
    pic 4 shows all cf pieces cut to length, the gear all made, all cf strips sanded and sorted as well as the push rod partial assembly, must pushrods be installed to finish.

    Re: 5 Clik build

    Stuffed the flat cf into the stabs and ailerons. Would have never thought it be that much work but it's done.
    Just waiting a day for the kicker to evaporate and the swelling to go down ( kicker swells the epp)
    Also glued the canopies to the top vertical fuse halves.

    maybe more tomorrow??

    Re: 5 Clik build

    Snuck in a little more glue time.
    So far I have uses thin ca and kicker for everything CF related and Foam to Foam for everything foam to foam. when I finish this sequence of horizontal foam to foam I will switch to welders glue for all things vertical. Then I will report on any difference in the two products FOR THOSE THAT KEEP ASKING STAY TUNED.

    Re: 5 Clik build

    At the point now where I have all five ready for the installation of the lower vertical portion, need to let the kicker evaporate again. By doing this you allow the size of the parts to return to the correct dimension. Next will be to get the lower portion and stick farm growing, fun, fun, fun.

    Pic showing two of the units with all cf installed as well as the elevator servo.

    Looking good!... Keep the hardwood flooring glued to mine, I'll need the extra support.
