Bringing in 2021 with this pattern machine for Peter Woo.
I’ve never put together a high end pattern ship before so lots for me to learn here. Have a bunch of amazing resources behind the scenes to help me with this.
Loaded with the best of the best. YS200 on pipe will also be new to me. Have never played with a supercharged glow.

Goal is to stay under 5kg with this machine. So we’ll be looking to trim weight off where ever possible!
So for aileron extensions, we’re using the thin Powerbox wire and I soldered the extensions on instead of connectors.
BLS173 servos. Insane little mini’s. Soft start, so smooth

Here is the aileron servo install. Horns, mini ball bearing equipped ball links, 2mm linkages all included in the kit.
Using a Double Thunderbolt connector for each wing.
Getting +/- 96% on servo for max throw so happy with that

Elevator servo / linkage was a huge pain getting the servo arm inside the stab and geometry right for +/-100% servo travel. This makes a 60” aerobatic look spacious LOL
Thunderbolt single locking connector

Rudder servo is the BLS272. Really nice setup.
Kit comes with a blue coverplate that I have attached with clear tape. I have thinner tape sourced to make a neater tape job.

The 2 stabs are connected to the fuse with 2 x CF tubes. They are pinned with 2.5mm SHCS into threaded hardpoints. Took a bit of work but came out well.

Landing Gear is one piece with pants. Full CF construction. Pretty cool.
Comes with the cool axles.
Wheels are MPI. I used the left over axle bushings to make spacers to keep the wheels centered in the openings.

Now for the huge PITA so far. Sorry for the rant, but with all the money spent on this airframe, it is mind-blowing that they couldn’t drill the 6 holes in the fuse for the LG legs. Nope.
LG legs need to fit around the lower wing, under the cheek-cowl, and alignment proper.
Arrrggggghhh.
With lots of tape and measuring and re-measuring, got it. But complete waste of time for something that should be 10min job vs 4hr.
I feel better now. Rant over LOL![]()

YS-200 installed. Worked out really slick with the soft mount. Fit in perfectly.
Thrust worked out to 0 deg up/down relative to lower wing. Was advised to set thrust to -0.5deg so did that. However very easy to adjust left/right and up/down thrust angles at the field after a few flights due to that awesome mount system!!
