I'm glad to hear that in my conversations with our group of flyers, everyone has been taking this seriously. Called my post office today locally, trying to get a hold some kids bday presents that were mailed here for us. As we are still in quarantine we cannot get them, nor do we want to expose anyone potentially. She thanked me for my openness, then proceeded with a story.
Local just got back from his cottage in upstate New York yesterday. Was in the post office the same day, while his wife was shopping at Walmart. She proceeded to scald him on breaking quarantine. After he left, she called the cops. Well done, i say and we need people to take this seriously.
With Martial Law lock down in Peru and self imposed lock down here in Canada after returning, our family will have been essentially isolated for 28 days, we plan to continue this until public health calls the all clear.
Stay strong everyone! The more we isolate the better it is for everyone to get back to work and more importantly, flying!![]()

We got back well before any of it was an issue but we've taken it very seriously since it started making the news. Unfortunately a friend in Cozumel's sister in law has died from it. I'm not sure they can be positive of the cause but for now that's what they are blaming.

This thing is real and it's closer than we'd all like to admit that's for sure. Sorry to hear about your friend Larry....glad you are home too.

Matt glad to hear your family is back in Canada safe and sound and unlike some travelers returning to Canada from abroad you are adhering to the mandatory 14 Day Self Isolation.
Won't Ford's decision, 2 days ago to extend the Lock-down another 12 weeks automatically make it illegal to have HITV on it's planed date?

If it's not safe to hold HITV on the intended date, we'll move it a few weeks down the line based on feed back from everyone. We'll make that decision the first week of May as that's the last date we can order all the merchandise for the event. Our vendors are working with us to ensure we don't spend any $$ unless we have to. They are also working with their own restrictions etc, as we all are.
We all look forward to HITV week being the first event of the season, but realistically we may have to postpone or cancel, but are still taking an optimistic approach to the ever evolving situation. As things are changing so rapidly and the governments are truly flying by the seat of their pants on decisions, we are opting for a wait and see approach.
Even if it runs in May or June, we'll will taking extra precautions to keep everyone safe.
HITV will only run on a date that is safe for all of those involved and when Ontario Ministry of Health mandates it's safe to do so, full stop.
Great to hear from you Jim! Look forward to seeing you at a distance of 6-8 ft away in the other pilot boxes in the near future :-)

Matt let's hope we don't have to be enforcing the 6ft rule when the Event happens as it will be tough to banter and we might each, have to have or own keg. Wait would that be a bad thing? LOL.
Well being laid off is giving me time to get the 73" Raven finished. Fingers crossed. Stay Frosty!

Alright guys, first week of may has come and gone, officially May 24th weekend is off the books, for HITV. More to come in a bit.
Right now we are all just thinking of our friend and a rock of the 3D community whom we lost last night, our thoughts and prayers are with Ed's family.
Ed, we'll fly again with you soon brotha, enjoy your peace, until we meet again.
