Just as a reference for guys that have the ix12 or plan on getting it, here are detailed instructions on remotely accessing the ix12 with your PC using TeamViewer. Looks pretty cool....

Hey Go back into your TROLL Cave and finish some models instead of spouting off Slanderous comments.
Haven't seen much activity on your build threads.
OH right it's Hockey Season so you won't be feeling up a Tx for four months.
Besides my Tx will have way better Trade In value then yours so Na Na Na Na Take that!

Uuuuuummmmmm
Why do I need an $800 Tx to email and browse when I already have my $2000i10? Sheesh let's get our priorities straight here
And WHY is Rectum discriminating against LogMeIn?
And IF it's Android based WHY are they calling it the ix12? i is reserved exclusively for Apple.
Wait if it's android Hackers will be all over it soon guys will HACK into your Tx while flying and introduce you to "Blue Screen Of Death" (Insert Vincent Price Sinister Laugh HERE!)

Jim..too many questions. Have your iphone call my TX and they can sort it out!!
Your last comment raised a good point. The android system is completely separate from the RF module. Therefore, even if Android crashes while flying, it does not affect flight controls. Also, you don't have to run the Spektrum Airware app while flying. As an example, I was flying my foamie at indoor last night and had YouTube music videos playing on my screen while I flew (had wifi connected).
I personally don't care to have YouTube music playing while I'm flying but this was just me playing around with the TX and getting used to it.

Guys, I picked up this little Blade Inductrix FPV. My LHS lent me a pair of FatShark goggles to try it out. After a bit of practice, I was able to take off in my living room and fly it downstairs, through my workshop door and land it on my bench. I kind of see why guys like FPV.
I was talking to one of the guys in the shop and asked them if I could use my ix12 as an FPV screen?? He suggested to connect the TX to my laptop to see if it recognizes it as a device...and it does. Was thinking to download the "gofpv" app and buy this thing:
https://www.amazon.com/5-8GHz-Receiv...=1520786479366
FPV has never been my thing but interested in trying this because I think it would be cool to have my TX screen as my FPV screen. Will let you guys know if it works!

I bought one of these attachments and it works well on my Samsung phone or tablet, with the free app FPVDROID. I think I got mine from Banggood, perhaps under $30CDN, including shipping.
A couple of neat things :
You can record the transmitted video stream, although it is lower quality than having the camera do it, particularly if that is a Mobius.
The app shows the spektrum of 5.8 GHz so you can get a good idea of where and how pronounced your desired "channel" is. The typical FPV setup that some of us have been playing around with can be rather "loose" in what gets transmitted and/or rather non-selective in what it will receive.
On neat thing with this little item is that you can be at a flying site where someone may be flying a multi or plane and you can pull out your phone, plug in the little receiver and hop on board their flight. Also, think of this as a way to get some extra eyes in the Great Hunt for that missing plane!
It should work on the new ix "entertainment center", I suppose.
