Well, it has been a while since a post, and I have been on and off this project.
I hit a small snag with a paint match (cowl, kind of important eh..) but Cawthra Automotive took care of that for nothing, just a bit more time painting.....
Now that that is done and decals are on, I can clear the cowl.

will drill the spinner backplate, and get ready for a good shakedown and hand-off.

FYI, this engine can be a bit difficult to start for the first time. And my research has found that 'slapping' the prop as opposed to flipping it provides a little bit more push needed for the ignition to bite. (I am not really a fan of this technique...)
Also, we needed to get the carb nice and wet, and she started with zeros issues after that.

I am interested to see if it gets any easier to start as it breaks in.
