Yep.. some use and like the 24x9. I personally don't like the feel of the extra pitch. I also find it doesn't load the GP up enough, so it becomes too twitchy for my liking especially on light planes. We've also tried the F23x9, F24x8 and they are even wilder - like the motor is freewheeling. Some like that. Others like the Mej 24x10. The other prop I really like is the Beila 24x8CF... feels similar to the Falcon 25x8W with similar load.
If I was doing IMAC or sport flying, I would even give a Falcon wood 26x8 a try - not much load increase from the 25x8W. Brad's GP61 on pipe was a monster on the 25x8W and could have spun a 26x8 no problem
As you said Dean - really comes down to personal preference, flying style and the set-up you are dealing with... not fair for me to just throw out the 25x8W without some qualification.

I have used both 24x10 and 25x8 CF Falcon props on a tuned pipe. They seam to perform well for my flying style. I don't typically fly at full throttle, but I have noticed you can bark the prop from time to time. The 24x10 does appear to put more load on the engine.
