They used captured P51's for their pilots to learn how the P51 performs and what fire power it possessed so they could defend against it, and they had to paint it German schemed so they wouldn't get shot down over their skies by their own guys. SO I READ SOMEWHERE.

Sounds like you'll have lots of time to be 'for hire'...I need a nice covering job on my Vertigo!!

Since my first post in this thread I wrecked my Slick, I think my giant scale P51 and Spitfire will end up getting sold...making inquiries about the 74" EF Laser, although I would like to think that could happen before flying season is over.

A Super Stearman in the Red Baron scheme. I was hoping to get it in the air before winter but the more I look at pictures of the full sized one the more I need to change. Looks like partial recovering is in order. And the cowl will have to be repainted too.

Re: What's your winter project this year?

So after planting my Shoestring yesterday nose first into good ol' mother earth at about 120MPH I am thinking on assembling the Beast 60E. I know, not much a plane compared to what the vast majority on here build and fly but perfect for me until I get heat put into my garage and I can start work on a true "build"....Next winter......

    Ok, here is the pic

Re: What's your winter project this year?

After I win the IMAC grand prize I will build myself a 120cc plane, or nothing. My last build of the winter is the 5 Clik build.

It will be glow Cory. I have a G23 and a G26 not doing anything but I am leaning toward a little more scale sound. A Saito 170 R3.
