How To: Mark your classified ads as SOLD

Goto your classifieds ad. When you have sold your item just select Thread Tools and scroll down to 'Mark this thread sold'



Super simple!


The same process can be used for your WTB ads.

Site Progress Bar

A new feature we thought we would try out, a status bar. I have never really seen it in use but it does put posting into perspective.

Thumbs Up / Thumbs Down

The Thumbs system is in place to give quick feedback to the poster if you like or dislike what they have posted.

How to

You will see in every post on the forum a Thumbs Up / Down icon, unless it has been disabled in a certain section. Currently Thumbs is disabled in the classified.


You can see who Thumbs Up / Down a thread by mousing over the feedback score



After someone has given you a Thumbs Up / Down you will get a notification in your Notifications tab


Click the notification will take you to the Thumb center where you can see all the latest received, sent, top rated and other stats

How to Embed Vimeo Videos

1) Find the Vimeo video you would like to share. The last part of the URL is going to be the main part to focus on.


2) Click the Vimeo icon in the new thread tool bar . You must have clicked Go Advanced as the Quick Replly does not carry the embed feature in the tool bar.


Now, with the Vimeo brackets you will want to enter the last portion of the Vimeo URL.


Your video should now be appearing

Adding and Editing your signature

The more full signatures people see, the more likely they are to also create their own.

Using signatures after already previously posting does not mean your signature will retroactively appear. It will only appear on new posts going forward.

Editing your post / thread subscriptions

There are a couple ways to handle thread subscriptions. Thread subscriptions work in the following manner, someone replies to a thread and you get an update immediately, daily, weekly or never for each that thread. You can pick how you want your subscriptions to work on a global and per thread basis.

How to pick the email update on a per thread / post basis.
First, when you are replying to a thread, you can scroll down, see the drop down box, select which update you would like and carry on with your post. This will set the subscription for that specific post (this is per post, so remember that).


Setting your default thread subscription behavior.
The global setting for a default subscription setup is pretty straight forward. Goto your edit options here and scroll down to the Default Thread Subscription Mode.


So, at this stage you post a whole lot. And you get a TON of emails from the site and would like to delete some subscriptions. The good news is you dont need to delete subscriptions, you can alter them from the subscription folder to behave in a way you would prefer.
Goto your USER CP
Left side, select My Subscriptions / Subscriptions


Now you can select by individual thread or all and edit the mode of the notification or delete the subscription outright. Note, once you delete a subscription it cannot be restored unless you reply back in the thread.

How To Change the Style of RCC

Scroll down to the bottom left of RCCanucks, use the drop down selector to choose the style you would like.

How To Hide new posts from search for certain sections & hide sections from the forum main page.

This is a very easy process to remove new posts from showing when you click New Posts / New Posts. It will also allow you to remove those sections from the main forum display.

Goto your USERCP and then to General Options on the left side. Scroll to the bottom to the Miscellaneous Options area till you see this. Select the forums that do not interest you

How To Delete your account
