Aviation Design Diamond / Behotec 220

I decided to pull the trigger on this new beast from Aviation Designs. I was kinda on the fence about the looks until I saw it fly and love the looks in flight. The high speed performance is also insane. I think Peter said he tipped 500km/h with the Behotec 220 and the flight logs I saw with his airspeed telemetry was 486km/h in the heat at Wingham this past weekend.

I have the red/CF scheme coming!!... should arrive tomorrow.

Landing gear will be Behotec Electric gear with the new highspeed wheels.

Power will be a Behotec 220 with Projet Telemetry. Also using the Intarco UAT which is my favorite by a long shot.

Servos will be Futaba BLS172's all around. Twin Futaba 7008 Rx's into a Powerbox Expander and Powerbox iGyro 3e. Will also go with a Powerbox smoke pump if room permits.

Ya!! It's a bit of a love it or hate it thing, but it has really grown on me and it is so unique in the air and very visble with the high T-tail.

Altecare has some pretty cool stuff right now!!!

The new Behotec high speed wheels are a work of art. And I have 2 of these Intarco UAT's in operation and love the dual inlets for dual fuel tanks and the clear tank makes it easy to see what's going on inside.

I am also running one of these V-speak modules on my other JB220... provides awesome feedback to the Tx of all the vital ECU parameters including temperature, Rx signal strength and fuel consumption.

oh you sick little monkey trevor. pete flew his diamond at the noon time show and skimmed the deck about an inch off the ground. trevor i near crapped my pants at how close he came on that pass. i new you would want one of these from the way your eyes were twitching at it. congrats and see you at wingham on friday for the maiden unless you get it built sooner.

YUP your kit left France yesterday, it is in Newark FedEx depot. Should clear customs tonight for delivery tomorrow.
If you are adding smoke I should too if we are flying together no?
