Re: Aviation Design Diamond / Behotec 220

Cool thanks for the info Jeff. I hadn’t thought of that. I originally thought it would work best in the wing leading edge but then you would have to take the connection apart every time you remove the wing. The vert stab will be staying on...

Re: Aviation Design Diamond / Behotec 220

Well the diamond is almost ready and when I got the vertical stabilizer attached it is able to move right and left a little bit because cradle the aluminum tube sits in right above the turbine does not tightly contain the tube. There is probably a 16th of an inch before it hits the plywood that is designed to hold it laterally. I wonder if anyone else had this problem. This slight movement translates to quite a bit by the time it reaches the top of the vertical stab. I guess I will glue some plywood squares in next to the tube to hold it tight.

Actually there looks like quite a bit of space but maybe it's stopping from whatever is holding it above where I can see in the wing tube shroud. Who knows

    Hello again Brandon,
Rick Bruce used wood dowels in his tubes for extra strength maybe you could to to make up the space
