Scott, yes, more work to finish with that slim vinyl, but worth for it, looks nice
Yes, those vinyl sheets are thin and easy to work!
I was surprised at how easy it is to use them.
Line them up properly, and use the hinge technique, and they go on very quickly. The level of effort:result ratio is incredibly high with these large stickers!

There is the little additions that must be attended to, but those are fairly easy. (the white extensions on the cowl and hatch.)

But the overall lines in this scheme are sexy!

And I love the 'Bengal Tiger' look of the cowl!! (didn't fully see that until it was right in front of me and complete....LOL)

Scott, that design is awesome! I love it!
I am planning to do the same, but in Racing Green.
But it will take some time until I will be at the point to start with the design ... hehe.

I also started to build my Vertigo and opened a thread to promote the Vertigo a bit more in Germany:

I am currently thinking about motor mount position.
I saw in the motor mount plate there is a little hole … am i right that this was drilled to indicate the center position for mounting the motor?

I am thinking to use a DLA56 motor with the standard standoffs… what ist the optimal motor length you guys used in your Vertigos?
I mean the distance between motor mount plate and spinner back plate...

Tim that would be hard to give you a definitive dimension as each Motor has different dimension from
back of the mounting lugs to the front surface of the engine thrust washer.

If you measure the distance specified above on your particular engine you should then be able to transfer that dimension on to the plans and calculate the stand-off dimension.

OH and Tim I called the Kawasaki Green colour scheme so Back off! LOL!

I would love to do so, but I have no exact plans which I can use as reference for the calculation...
    Do you have one?

And don't worry about the design ... as you are on a different continent, that shouldn't be an issue! ;-)

    Tim,

    OH no plans?
    Haven't checked my kit yet.

Well I guess you will have to take your engine dimensions and measure from the firewall to the front of your cowl to get a rough idea then maybe try an make some temp standoffs using dowels and play wit them to get exact dimensions.

I was just yanking your chain about colour scheme. No one has exclusive rights to any scheme. LOL!

How close to starting are you?

Re: Badan Vertigo 2M Build Thread!!

    Yep, no plans. :-)
The only plan I could find is in the Badan Gallery, but there the resolution is too small to get those details.

You can see my current status here:
    http://www.rc-network.de/forum/showt...-airplane-kits
(at least on the pictures :-) )

That little drilled hole in the motor mount plate should be the motor center (hopefully) ... so I will drill the holes for mounting the motor accordingly ...
And the size of standoffs I can check later then ...

Yes. That hole is offset for the motor angle.
