Thomas... those servos are way too weak for this plane. Keep in mind that the aileron is 1/3 of the entire wing. I woukdn't be flying with less than 400oz-in in each wing.

My servos are 520oz-in and borderline at high speeds. Ed's at 700 are much better.

Also.. my 3M started with (2) 520oz-in servos per aileron which is usually fine for any equivalent size Carden or ARF. Waay too weak. Above 1/2 throttle it would roll soo slow.

Add a 3rd 520 oz to each wing and much much better.

    Ailerons take tons of power

What servo would you recommend? I'm not set-up for HV - am running a 2s LiFE (actually two for redundancy) to about 6v through the receiver to the servo.

Pretty sure that Savox has some low voltage servos that have over 400oz-in at 6V.

MKS does also. Pretty sure the BlueBird specs are impressive at 6V also. Futaba does.

I'll get you some numbers soon.

100% guarantee the flutter is those poor little 277oz-in servos hanging on for dear life.

I'm using the same all around - rudder, elevators. Didn't notice any issues with those surfaces. Do you think they are ok?

Elevators don't take much power, so 277 is more than fine. Rudder should be okay for general sport flying but I doubt it will have the power to do a KE loop for exemple

Had good luck with the Savox 1283. Savox1230 or 1231 work, however have seen a few develop slop.

The MKS DS1220's are beautiful with an amazing gear train.

Ed has the Bluebird H50C's... Not much experience but whicked specs and seems to work well on the 2 flights on his Vertigo. A few other non-helical Bluebirds that will work. No first hand experience on longevity, but many good reports

Futaba has a couple SBUS options that would work.

I'm bias toward Futaba and MKS, but just me. Ford vs Dodge vs Chevy, LOL

So between these two, it looks like the Savox is a bit more powerful at 417 oz at 6.0v. The DS1220 is 422 oz at 6.6v., but only 346 oz at 6.0v. I'm leaning toward the Savox for the extra power. What do you think?

Very good experiences with Savox 1270, powered with 2S Li-Pol
