    Re: Silhouette Cameo

There are so many things you can do once you get using the capabilities. My wife makes a lot of wine glasses and mugs. she made shot glasses, mugs and wine glasses all glass etched for the Canadian Nationals. All the women got a "pit crew" wine glass.
Cut the design out on some scrap vinyl, size it to your beer mug, wine glass, shot glass, use etching paste (any craft store) to engrave it into the glass.
Love the beer mugs from the nationals, but cant find a pic at the moment.

Did this on my cameo. Some vinyl and some mono coat. Previously was a red and white 30cc older extreme flight yak.

    Re: Silhouette Cameo

Nicely done glasses Jason! I am now learning the trace function of the silhouette program. Nice to be able to pull a logo such as the DA logo from the net and cut it out. So much that this thing can do with the software as well.

Dave, it was your plane that got me interested in the cameo. I really like how you made that plane look gorgeous. I have the same plane only in 88 inch. I ran a smoke system on it for two years and now it is time for a recover, or as you say, a new dress. I plan on doing something much different.

Ya Jim, I like the idea of sharing designs. Here or on its own thread.

Silhouette cameo 3 on sale up here for $219. Guess they are making room for the cameo 4 which should be out soon.

I’ve cut hundreds of decals and never needed to use anything but the software the cameo came with. Jason, the etching looks very clean and well done. How did you lay the vinyl down without any creases or wrinkles fir the enchant to creep under. Very clean lines.

    Re: Silhouette Cameo

Still having way to much fun with the Silouette. Going to be laid up for the next three months so lots of time to work out new images, decals!

My vinyl guy tells me that it will be easy to wrap a cowl so going to try that.
